R sur le Montagne, turns out Rocca phase three is a thing after all. This is 21-floors, has 160 units and pre-sales start February 2nd. Delivery is estimated in 2022.

Oh that is hideous. It doesn't fit the space.

I have seen a crane recently on a formerly empty lot at Boulevard Robert near Viau. Does anyone know what is being constructed there?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it in this document. Mixed-use development phase 1 that will include the adjacent properties in the future:

The Bell Centre cluster keeps getting denser and denser! Solstice (147.5M tower), 1000 De La Montange (144M) and Enticy (~80M) all broke ground recently. In addition to this, Roccabella 3 commenced (110M) and we have two 120M towers next to YUL as well. With the three that broke ground last week, that's 1,169 units being added and with the other projects, it's closer to 2,000 units. Once all these projects are complete, the Bell Centre cluster would've added roughly 6-7K units since 2015/16.

Sadly there's been a major slow down of projects being announced. But if all goes well, the Bonaventure bridge redevelopment + the old Molson factory redevelopment will mean 13,500 new units to downtown in the next few years.

But no outstanding height unfortunately. Even smaller cities than Montréal now build taller skyscrapers. And the Montréal skyline looks flatter and flatter, because many skyscrapers now have a uniform height of 200 meters. It's crazy the authorities don't promote some more audacious projects, to break the 200 meter ceiling.

Montreal has a height limit, nothing will be built taller than already exist.

I'm not sure that's really the case. Isn't that height limit an urban myth?
