I thought that Bear was going to be on the outside, would probably get a lot of people taking pictures.

The lobby of this tower looks great! definitely a winner.

ok, first off, the bear was better without the salmon. still is out of this world awesome regardless. second. i am not sure i am so crazy about the lobby yet. so far it hasn't jumped out at me and demanded that i love it. that is not to say i don't find it attractive, because in some ways i do. its just that, well, is it just me or do the colors make it looks small? with that said, here lies the problem. i just cant tell from a few pictures. with EAP, i loved it fist off. when i got to see it in person, it only made things better. it jumped out at me and demanded that i take notice. this one i am not so sure. i guess i wont know until i go to Edmonton. this week maybe? my wife would kill me if i told her that the reason we are going to Edmonton is to look at a f**king lobby of a skyscraper and not to romance her at some fancy restaurant. haha.

Agreed that the bear was a lot better without the salmon. And yes, it would have been really cool to have it outside the building.

the work -and it's installation - is not quite complete. the only thing i can add to that is that the piece is - at least for now - titled "bear with salmon" and there is no difference in spelling between salmon in the singular and salmon in the plural. as with the lobby - and the building overall for that matter - you're still going to have to be a little bit patient for a lot of the little but so important finishing touches to be put in place. they're coming but we're not quite done yet so stay tuned... as for the location, it was commissioned for where it is and it was entirely the artist's choice even before the commissions was given.
