if anyone has a program that allows them to do the diagrams to put on the building pages for Sovereign, Chancellor and Metroplace, it would be much appreciated if you could do so

I tried the other day, apparently the moderators didn't like my drawing of sovereign

Apparently they have chosen to rename Brentwood Crossing to "SOLO District" as stated in the Sept 20th Burnaby public hear minutes. As for Reflections, the tower crane came down a month ago, its moving quick.

Why do you have Station square "up to or exceeding 200m"?

That would necessitate floor heights of 3.5m, well above the industry standard for residential. The tallest of the towers will likely come in at a very respectable 170-180m.

For Station Square there is actually no proposal beyond "phase 1" which is a much smaller tower. I read through the proposal and it only seems to state that the CD zone would allow "up to 57 storeys" which is a lot different than a concrete proposal. I wouldn't get my hopes too high yet. It is more of a conceptual proposal for the area rather than an actual proposal from a development company. Think enhance land use plan. The odds it will happen are quite low in my opinion.

And even at 57 storeys like ^^ pointed out, that would put it even with maintenance around 180 meters at maximum. That's still bumping closer to 600 feet.

I really hope you are just being a debbie downer. That said, it would be nice to see a project one day commence with one of the taller towers instead of always the shortest.

As I said before, the list is imperfect and incomplete. I'll correct the mistakes later today

Great job compiling the list. Gives a quick, concise snapshot of what type of projects are underway and potentially in the future for Burnaby. I didn't know about the Station Square Development. Too bad it seems more like a vision than a feasible expenditure.

More like a realist. I too would love to see every major project built region wide, but the plan as presented is no different than the small community plans being done in all the other cities. 90% of those plans never see the light of day. Now granted Burnaby does have a better track record than most of the other cities like Surrey for example, but it still isn't high nor above 50%.

I'd love to see it happen though don't get me wrong. It does sound like there is development backing for tower 1 though which is better than nothing especially since that block beside Metrotown is really lacking. Any densification of Metrotown itself is good for Burnaby.

oh poopy! Well, meh.

Aaaanyways, added a diagram for "The Sovereign" building page. If someone could, it would be awesome if you could make one for the Chancellor and Metroplace. I definitely do not have the skills to do that haha.
