This is hands down my New Favorite tower... Everytime I am in the city my attention is drawn to it immediatley. It rocks and to be staring straight along the Bay Bridge if I lived would be a sight i woudl never grow tired of. Especially once the new Bridge Span is finsished. **sigh*** i love San Francisco

i took a hike on bald mountain (~2775', kenwood, ca) yesterday and i could see rincon hill in the skyline.

thats over 55 miles away, and i could distinctly see it separate from the main high-rise cluster.

i took pix but they didnt come out well.

Nice clarity yesterday. Go ahead and post them. How bad can they be?

It definitely stands out. The skyline needed another peak. Thanks!

Silly things bother me. I've been waiting forever for them to install that last piece of white molding that completes the horizontal line over the balconies. Now I can sleep at night:

Oh yeah, construction update:

I was just in SF for the first time in over a year, when this tower was just a 5 story stub. It freaking looks so FANTASTIC. It is an amazing addition to the skyline. I knew it was there, but seeing it in person, wow. Infiniti looks great, too.
Will post pics soon.

Oh god, I would kill for that view. I love cars and the Bay Bridge. The view of Oakland and the hills would be awesome on clear days, and even with it was overcast, you still have the freeway Your very own moving sculpture.

^^^I actually wonder how much of that view will remain when the 2nd tower gets built. This does not appear to be a unit that would be higher than the top of that tower.

Since the 2nd tower will be somewhat offset from the first one (actually on Harrison St), I would imagine that the majority of the view would remain. Certainly, you would still be able to see the Bay Bridge. The only part that would be impacted would be the peripheral view, which is already partially covered by Bridgeview Tower.

^^^Unless I'm mistaken, Bridgeview is on the north side of Harrison. ORH tower 2 will be on the south side, more or less in line with the midrise condo building whose roof can be seen in the photo to the right of Bridgeview. That means you could well lose sight of all the bridge towers and see only the western approach roadway from this unit.

I think roadwarrior is correct. The Bridgeview tower in that shot (ie: this one) is definitely on the south side of Harrison and will align with the second tower. Perhaps there's another building in the Bridgeview development on the other side of the street?

Here is a picture I took of this fine building from the Bay Bridge. It may not be that great, but it shows how tall it is right next to the bridge. After all, its been a while since I've contributed photos here

No, it's a lower unit, not even higher than the dreadful Bridgeview condo building behind it.

^^^Bridgeview is rental, I think.

But beyond that, you guys need to go to New York. In the megalopolis we honor so much there are loads of huge apartment buildings that make anything in SF look positively classic and beautiful--certainly Bridgeview. I actually like it better than Avalon Towers nearby, but rental buildings in general don't tend to be as architecturally distinguished as the best condos because some condo buyers ARE attracted by the architecture but few renters are. But still, I'd say Bridgeview is as good as almost anything in Mission Bay, for example (I pretty much hate everything there).

Bridgeview is entirely on the south side of Harrison; the Avalon towers (rental apartments) are on the north side.

freaking sweet, I can't wait till July when I get to see it in person. It will be my first trip to San Fran. I plan on training now so that I will increase the shape I am in to handle bike riding around San Francisco for a couple days.
