The only way to ensure a gold-glass building has a chance of looking good is to not outline it. If you are going to outline the building, I think the only color that saves it is black. One of the only gold-glass buildings I like is the 3000 Town Center in Southfield in suburban Detroit.

Not only am I not a fan of the white outline of this building, but the particular color used and the massing is just silly. It already looks dated.

If you're gonna rant on a building, at least do it on the right thread...

Who's my favorite, little contrarian? You'ree my favorite, little contrarian. Yes you are! Oh, yes you are!

Honestly, don't you have some other vanity project in some third world banana republic you should be championing, or some nice tower in the United States you should be disparaging? Because, really, that's your own trick.

^^ Okay, so I'm not allowed to counter cheezy jokes. Cool. Even if its a joke about a building in the wrong thread.
Ironically, I was replying to a negative comment on a building that pretty much everyone likes, so I was replying to a contrarian, but apparently if it goes against your opinion, I'm the contrarian. Great mod skills there.
No wonder everybody goes to SkyscraperCity instead of here.

I bet nobody would have imagined this 30 years ago......A huge picture of Steve Jobs on the side of a gleaming Moscow Skyscraper. Oh how the times have changed.

You're allowed to counter cheesy jokes, but at least come up with something better than copying the same joke.

Agreed. The cluster does indeed beat the pants off Vegas. Earlier in this thread the discussion had turned to the gold and white tower (below) which does not exactly beat the pants off Vegas, but rather looks like it arrived straight from Vegas.

Does Federation tower have a tenant or two? I would like to visit Moscow to see this growth...but only in the summer time.

Actually, I can't believe how quickly 432 Park Avenue is going up. Seems like just last year I heard about it (obviously I'm misremembering)
