[Coquitlam] Lougheed Heights | 27-37fl | Completed

This was earlier mentioned in the Suburban Updates thread, but since it's 3 towers, let's have its own thread as well. Number of floors was just my quick count.

New rendering from the Lougheed Heights site.

Status should be changed to u/c. Excavation is underway on the east towers (didn't grab pics). The site of the west tower is about to be cleared.

My update from Monday October 3rd.

u/c is reserved for when excavation is finished and the crane goes in for some reason.

Oh wow that's great to see this U/C already. Are they building all three at the same time?

the area with two towers is excavated and has 2 cranes now. The other lot which fronts on north road is still just cleared off, no digging yet.

Are those bags of asbestos?

If they are, all the more such walk-ups should go.

Would be bad if they are found in ceilings: things tend to chip off or shaken loose when they are old, especially so for these rickety wooden apartments.

As for pipes made of asbestos concrete, I'm not that concerned since they are encased and buried. But then again, it's better not to be exposed to it.
