With regards as to whether you should leave that block open...

My philosophy with City City is that if I find a viewpoint that would be ruined by the development of a city block, I make it a park, which is almost always the best thing you can do. I'd recommend the same.

I do the same thing - I'm very detailed with parks. If I like a view from some spot, I make a little park out of it.

By the way, Oceanside looks excellent! I like it even better than Staunton so far!!! Keep up the jaw-dropping work!!

I dont get what you mean, have you tried getting your streets to snap on to the axes?

Thanks Everyone. But Still Whats your favorite building?

I decided to turn that spot into a mall, its such a prime peice of real estate, its surrounded huge headquarters skyscrapers.

Inside The Mall

New Building: The CoCal Gas Company Tower
- 704 feet High (214.6 Meters High)
- Construction Start: 1994
- Construction End: 1997
- 53 Floors High
- Loosely modeled off the Gas Company Tower in Los Angeles (the building in the beggining of the movie Speed)

The Backside

The Frontside

Another look at the Skyscrapers in the Southern part of Downtown.

A closeup on the World Entertainment-AlpineFinancial Plaza. The idea was inpired by the raised plazas in Downtown Los Angeles, due to the hilly terrain. I tried it and it turned out great, plus you can but buildings over streets filling in gaps in the skyline.

Perfect Example of buildings filling in the gaps. So far this is a new yet, unnamed building.

Sorry, I should've made it more clear. lol, sorry if I sounded harsh too, I was just a little frustrated.

I have 2 problems in designing my streets:

1) I can't get mine as perfect as yours. The width is always different for each road, the lines don't match up, and it's just so dang difficult.

2) The textures look really weird, all in all, because when I paint, the road lines don't go in the direction of the road itself. Sometimes the lines go diagonally on the road, it depends on the direction.

I'm sorry i can't make this less conufsing. I don't exactly know how to explain it, but if you still have trouble understanding me, I'll provide screenshots next time.

Thanks!
Anthony

BTW: My favorite building would have to be the PalmBank building, Very well done!

Thats True

Heres something new: Photoreal Trees! I made them, suprisingly they arent that hard Plus I'm looking for clearer textures, like the one on the building in the picture. Both make more realalistic City Life Shots.

What do you guys think?

Better than Stauton that's for sure.

My only complain is some of the names for your towers. Like Dubai, you have cool buildings with boring names.

Awesome trees, and I've been looking for clear textures too, they aren't easy to find.

Oh well, keep up the good work!

If you ever design a condo tower, I'll give you a cool name. I think a name is very important. The more eye-catching the name, the more important the building can be.

Either that, or just use the real names.

I think The Azure fits best for this building, I really like Stratus, I think I'll save that one for a grander tower

Heres a City Diagram, The Azure is currently the 8th tallest.

How on earth do you get these textures? And how do you put them on your buildings?

And so far, my favorite building is the Alpine.
