Looks like a good place to bring a date. Is there a cafe or something on the roof? I'm guessing it's open to the public.

One57 looks so prominent in that picture.

The roof of the Met is a great place to take a date.

Go for happy hour drinks/bites, and enjoy the sculpture garden and skyline views.

Thanks for the info boss. I'll be sure to give this hypothetical date the rundown on all the projects that are or will one day be visible from the cafe.

Speaking of dates and sexy skylines, I wonder if this forum has female members.

If not, consider this the Gentleman's club, where we enjoy our exclusive bragging rights about our appreciation of very tall towers.

One57 certainly makes a statement from any perspective.

Any small doubts I had about the cladding are now gone. This is going to be an absolute stunner upon completion. It's almost at that point already.

Wow.All these modern buildings in New York are stunners.1WTC,One57 and 4WTC.I think it's safe to say you shouldn't judge a modern building from its renderings(i.e. 4WTC/One57 and 1WTC).

Tower looks fantastic. Can't wait till cladding reaches the top (same goes for 1WTC!).

There are a few, but they aren't here a lot. And yes, One57 is starting to start its short but sure reign over the Central Park skyline.

One57: Three New Renderings Of New New York's Famous Building Under Construction

8/31/12

Quote:
Construction of New York's famous One57 is almost over, it will top out any day now at 306m (1005ft) over the Central Park. Extell developed this masterpiece designed by Christian de Portzamparc. Renderings were big secret from the beginning and even now when tower is there, we still find new ones, never published till now. Here are three new renderings showing how proud this tower stands there, offering the best views in the city along with the most expensive penthouse ever!
