Tryon Place looks great! I like all three variations! I wish I could see the height.

27 occupied floors with about 3 more mechanical floors... between 400 and 450 feet? The fin thing at the top could push it to 475?

300 South Tryon

It hasn't officially been announced yet, but new plans and images have surfaced for a new tower at 300 South Tryon. LEED Gold. 25 occupied floors with additional 3 floors of underground parking. Will include a 30' wide "linear park" connecting Tryon Street with Bearden Park. Ground floor retail space. The smaller building shown in the renderings is a possible hotel or residential that may be built on top of the parking lot.

455 ft tall per the elevations. Hard to read, but that's what I get.

Tryon Place is 400' 0'' (122m) according to elevation drawings. That seems to match the floor count.

300 South Tryon could be a new favorite from Charlotte. I'm guessing it's height is likely 430 feet (131m)? I love that design and I hope they have a lead tenant to break ground. I'm guessing the grillwork and fin will light-up beautifully on the skyline. It's a very "Charlotte" design that will look great on this skyline.

Those two plus Skyhouse would really fill out the skyline north and south

Some work going on at the old Memorial Stadium. It is used for some high school football games these days along with home games for the Charlotte Hounds of Major League Lacross

Childress Klein apartment thingy. I don't think they've given it a snazzy name yet.

The Mint residential construction

Lots of work going on at the site for Skyhouse Charlotte. Could see it start going vertical very soon. They throw these things up about a floor a week.

300 South Tryon update

Groundbreaking has been set for the fall for the new 25 floor office tower. It will be the first new office tower since the recession. The last office towers to be completed were the 48 floor Duke Energy Center and 32 floor 1 Bank of America, both opening in 2010. Since then 23 and 21 floor residential towers have begun construction.

Recently Crescent has announced plans for a 27 floor tower and Portman a new 15 floor tower, but these could be put on hold to see how much demand there will be once this tower open in 2017.

Excellent. Both of these developments will provide even more density in Charlotte. Thanks for sharing.

Some nice stuff, but is there an effort to improve street level on these projects? A problem in some many cities is that many new buildings lack street level stores/restaurants creating blocks of inactivity other than those going to offices in those buildings etc.
