I hope that's the final design of the Cousins tower. It complements NCR beautifully.

I hope so too because designs tend to get worse once they're changed.

8th West Peachtree

This is amazing - and such great news! Alta Midtown / 915 Midtown has had such a dramatic impact in improving the area. That block is an eyesore that will be turned around.

Does anyone know if it will consume the entire block bound by 7th St, 8th St, Cypress, and W Peachtree? It says a little less than an acre - would that be the whole block?

I hope Ecco can survive. That ugly antenna will be gone though.

This seems to have come full circle - a month or so ago, myself and others reported soil samples being taken. And there were the antennas being added to 3 out of the 4 corners of the Peachtree Lofts building a few weeks ago - possibly making way for the removal of that antenna?

With the way things are going in that area, it's only a matter of time before the Bezoria / Noodle shopping center is turned into something better.

Are we seriously going code brown for 25 stories, or the company occupying that 25 stories. Is 25 stories violent code brown worthy?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd assume the assemblage is everything along W. Peachtree and maybe the small property on 7th, and nothing past the existing alleyway. I think the utility work they were doing along 8th all last month was actually taking advantage of the antenna for 5G rollouts for Verizon, as I see a lot of new cabling and infrastructure on that tower.

I assume 4 is 1125 Peachtree.

What other Midtown lots do we anticipate development on? Has it been floated out there and they are executing or is it brand new? 3rd & Ponce would be my guess...

Okay, yeah. So I used Google Maps, the scale on the bottom right, and a measuring reference to get the world's shittiest estimation.

For this square below:

I estimate it to be 175 x 265 ft, or 46,375 sq ft. An acre has a square footage of 43,560. So it must just be that area, and the Ecco and Cypress-fronting area will be left alone.

Either way, won't this building interfere with the antenna's performance, since it will be taller than it?

I think it's actually going to occupy the south middle section of that block too. Look at the first picture in this post, it appears to be more of an "L" shape building.

Good eye, I didn't notice that. It looks like you're right, but unless my horrible estimates were waaaay off, that would put it at well over an acre.

Guess we'll have to wait and see!! Exciting times no matter what.

It could still be an "L" shape within the rectangle, with space for a green area / small park.

A boy can dream...

I think they're right in that it will go up into the northern portion of the block; however, I think it will only be to acquire that one smaller single story building. If you look at how I've drawn the layout on my map below, that would make the parcel right at .944 acres, which is pretty spot on to what is listed in the article.
