Massive. Let' see if Drake and 225 top it in a 30s-esque battle for the sky. Great time for New York.

225 has considerably more air rights so it will most likely be the tallest of the bunch, with the Drake coming in at second and this third out of those three given that this is just three feet over 1000.

What's the time frame for those two?

Possible, but not necessarily the case. It largely depends on what type of tower Extell develops there.

True. If it's all residential and hotel, it should be a lot taller than One 57. However, if it's an office tower (which seems very unlikely), it will be shorter despite the extra square feet in air rights.

This site has been fully covered again with demolition netting.

I'm surprised at how clustered the area around One 57 is. I'm guessing around 700 ft is where it would become visible from this spot, at least.

hey lets get a picture of the progress, like standing right in front of the construction site!!! You cant see the progress from the top of the rock or central park!! Unless that area is closed off i dont see why we do not have any up close pictures of the progress of this building. Hey if I could, I would.

That's about right, but from that view you'd get a better look at the Tower Verre.

i cant make sense of why there isnt more highrise development, though its been getting there along 42nd, in midtown west. is it becouse of the lack of subway lines, or becouse the historical protections of neighborhoods like hells kitschen?. anyway, while visiting nyc i noticed alot of parking lots, and land that could be developed there, and i coulnt get my head around the idea of a billion dollar biulding a few blocks from parking lots, time warner center.

It's insane. the view from Rockefeller won't be the same anymore, no longer will the view of Central Park be so meticulously perfect.

no, it won't be the same any longer but i prefer an imperfect view of the park WITH a perfect view of One57 included in that imperfect view
