Masters in Preservation Studies?
I'm an older student, in my early 30s and a Sr. at Tulane Univ. and while I'm looking to go to grad school, and I was leaning toward a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning program here in New Orleans.
I did decide to look at what's offered at Tulane. Now there is a M.Arch I degree which looks interesting, but I'm unsure as to how a political science major would make the transition much less create a required portfolio for admission (plus it's *uber* expensive). There is a Masters in Preservation Studies which *sounds* interesting, but I'm unsure of the practical use in terms of getting a real job which pays real money to pay very real bills with this program.
Of course if I was solely interested in money I'd go be an attorney, get stressed out and buy a house I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford Uptown.
