3000 Market is the oldest building in the area IIRC. I would actually like to make it historic -- its façade would certainly add interest to whatever gets built on top.

I think that building would make a great tower base.

I just noticed that this rendering shows 2 towers on the north side of Drexel Square. The 30th Street Station District tower and the Schuylkill Yards tower. Just thought that was interesting. That hole where the tracks are exposed bugs me. I didn't think there would be enough space for a tower without combining the 2.

Demo work has started on the garage where the supertall is supposed to go. They’re starting with the west facing wall.

They can't fully demo that building tho, unless they've moved the engineering labs again? Perhaps they're just removing the part that doesn't have them.

(This is also why I suspect the 3001 block of Chestnut will get fully developed before the 3101 block of Market -- the eventual permanent engineering labs should end up down there, and they will also in all likelihood be a key component in whatever tower ends up getting built at 31st and Chestnut.)
