Carfree city, not in PDX, but Persian Gulf

Thought this was an interesting start to a story about a very cool new development.

"The latest effort comes not in some green hub like Portland, Ore., but in the Persian Gulf, fueled as much by oil wealth — and the need to find postpetroleum business models — as environmental zeal...."

like someone else said on the other thread...it's just not right to build a 'carfree' city off oil money...just seems wrong...
