The perspective on this image came out a little wrong, the tower looks shorter and stumpier in the rendering than it really would be:

Perhaps this project is being influenced because Hoyt was forced to shut down the parking lot?

Interesting. So pbd, that is the second design that was rejected by Hoyt?

Does anyone have the LRS proposal, or know anyone who might?

Devendra Banhart and Natalie Portman in the bottom left corner there... Nice touch.

The green roof in the design is super cool, the rest of the tower is just kinda meh. It would be really great to have a tower of this size in the part of town though.

Waiting for the LRS garbage to show up. After seeing those two options, I find it hard to believe they can be topped by LRS.

I'm personally hoping for something with staggered windows and/or an oversized cornice.

I'm a little confused -- why would BOORA just now release these renderings when LRS won the contract?

Why not? Just because they look cool I'm guessing.

For me, they needlessly get my hopes up because I know I'm going to be let down by LRS.

True, but they also reinforce their image of creating better design. If I lost out to inferior design, I'd be more than happy to show off my work.

Someone must have the LRS renderings to share. Since LRS won the project we want to see this design more than the ones that won't be built.

I've heard from people in several firms involved in the competition that the selection was based more on politics and relationships than on the competition submittals. IF this is true LRS won the project although may not have won the competition.

The politics is part of the competition... it's who you know. Good design doesn't always win, usually it's the least expensive proposal that wins. That said, we should probably wait to see what the LRS proposal actually looks like before we criticize it. Neither of these two submittals are particularly groundbreaking, so LRS could have something that's equally not-so-groundbreaking.

Nothing on LRS' website, but discovered they designed the 31-story Cosmopolitan at Grand & Holladay which is actually very attractive.

LRS won the project, which is why there are NOT renderings to share. Both Boora and AM have finished their work on this project, and can therefore share their final results.
