^^

It totally will. 1521 has shot up in the past few weeks and is expected to add a floor every one and half to 2 weeks. Looking good.

A floor every one and a half to two weeks? Not very fast actually. If Olive 8 says they can do better (anyone know?) then I'd believe them.

Ugh, just when it looks like Olive 8 is getting traction, it seems to slow again. I checked the web cam a few times today, and don't think I even saw anyone working... hope that was just my eyes and the grainy resolution. No workers in these pictures either... Is this reason to be alarmed at this point?

Great photos btw - as often as I am in downtown, I always manage to miss a few of these!

^ I walked by yesterday around 11:30 a.m. and it looked like they were working. I'll be by there again today and will be sure to check.

I think 1521 might start speeding up now that they are above ground. They have a smaller floor plate then Olive 8, I think..

They do. O8 was taking so long because of there really nice looking lobby and slow pace of concrete pouring.

Go to www.allyoucanupload.com it's pretty much self explanatory. Click on the primary image url and paste it on your skyscraper post. The picture will populate itself. You can also use photo bucket.

Here's something in very preliminary stages. The Westin Hotel is on the right, Escala on the left. Thanks to SeaGuy in SSC for bringing this to our attention.

Blog entry on it here:

Both of these pics were taken by Seattle lover

Seattle lover, that's a nice pic. When you post another pic, the first links are for thumbnails and then there's a space and duplicates of a original image. Click on primary link but make sure it's not thumbnail sized. Then your image will be full sized.

Nice work. What kind of Camera are you using? You can see your pics in all their glory. Once you figure out how to link the primary image and not the thumbnail, I will remove these 2 pics and defer to your post.

damn picture doesnt show up
its a nice project.... i dont think Seattle needs another 500 footer thought...specially in that area.
and that area has a lot of buildings, this one would cover some of them and take all the attention away from other towers....
IMO Seattle need another 700 footer and maybe even an 800 footer. but it should be built in the more central buisiness downtown not in the retail core, belltown, or market district.
one last thing.. i dont like the location of West 8th , its too far behind where nobody can see it but the people who live in 2200 Westlake + Enso should be closer to Downtown its a nice building and people deserve to see it...
ok im done...woof.....

-I love the location of WEst 8th. It fits perfectly for the area and inspires new growth too.
