Heat Wave

I was just checking out some weather forecasts from around the world. London, Windsor, and Cincinnati are all forecast to reach 37°C tomorrow. We are going to be hotter than most, if not all of the world's hot spots, including the coasts of Mexico and Central America, the deserts of Africa, and India.

I work primarily outdoors, albeit outside of the immediate London area. This is going to be a fun couple of days.

46 with the humidex....

I work in a place that has "air-exchange", not the same as air conditioning. Still it's better than nothing as I feel for those outdoor workers.

Ha! Glad I'm not in London right now!

Need to hit up a pool tomorrow then, get some colour and cool off!

I also work mostly outdoors. No amount of water is enough keep you hydrated in this weather...you sweat it out as fast as you drink it. Looking forward tomorrow lol.

Not as bad as last year, though, if you ask me.

I was working down near Hamilton today, and one of my clients lives in an apartment with no air conditioning. It was brutal in there, and when I was finished there my arms were soaking wet.

I took refuge in a nearby air-conditioned library a couple of times today. I work with little or no supervision so that is a big advantage on a day like this.

They upgraded the humidex to 48 for this afternoon. Why not just make it 50?

Really dreading going to work...
