AMSTERDAM - My first 3 months

As many of you know, I moved to Amsterdam from Germany 3 months ago and well what can I say…easily one of the best decisions in my life so far.

Needless to say I spent quite a lot of time to explore all parts of this amazing city so far and took well over 3,000 photos.

So here’s the first part of my first 3 months in Amsterdam (1 or 2 parts will most likely follow soon)

Welcome to…

to be continued….

Beautiful shot down Groenburgwal Canal.... amoung many other splendid photos you have here.

I was there a few weeks back visiting some family there.... my hotel was on Groenburgwal Canal on the right (just hidden in the photo).

Simply a magnificent city.....magnificent free thinking liberal inteligencia capital of our planet. It may not have the super-power might of a great capital like London, Paris, Tokyo, Moscow, or DC.... but it has an intellectual significance unto its own.

Also loved your Olympic torch photo.... very personal spot for me because my family lives so close to the Olympic stadium and take the kids to play there.

Good happy, solid memories.... THANK YOU for this posting.

Beautiful! I love the architectural detail on the houses. That exterior walkway on the highrise is sick.

What, no sex shops? How about a drug addict or two?

I must be having bandwidth problems as only half the pictures downloaded which is a real shame as the ones I saw were wonderful

You can't go wrong with the dam, wonderful historic buildings and innovative, progressive modern architecture - what a fantastic city

Such a colourful city; and one which has an atmosphere and air about it that no other place on Earth does.

Cool pics. That red bridge that crosses the river, is that a pedestrian bridge or is it just art?
