Thanks Everyone! Well Staunton was getting kinda boring, I needed something to spice things up! After all this is Staunton

Just to review I've dished out:
- The World Financial Crisis of 1999 (why the 90's? those where good times!)
- The Stock Exchange Crash of 2001 (well damn tha'd be a pretty big thing affecting the entire country)

I've always wanted something to symbolise Staunton's decline, right after 9/11, such as the World itself. Originally Staunton was going to take place in the pre-9/11 world, that would have been nice, but hey kinda boring.

So I changed history (as I explained before), the disaster is: Bad Timeing. Bad Mayor, Bad Real Estate Market, Bad Crime Rates.

My main motive for Staunton was: A corrupt criminal city that has seen better times.

Ok enough with the rambleing.

Here it a section on Cannery Park.

I've redesigned that area like 3 Times, each one truning out half-assed, well this time I'm doing large buildings, unlike the crampt small currect ones.

Along with new sexy buildings, I'll put in some clearer road textures and detailed, inspired by the complete clearness and detail in Palm Dunes (great job Foxmtbr!)

I'm trying to make the buildings look less-generic, and shorter, to create a more prominent look for the nearby Supertalls like Garden State and Galcorp.

With Staunton Square Done, I'll be detailing Downtown, which was done way too quickly, and I'd love to provide more Street Level scenes, but come on:

Check out the roads in this pic, how do you drive it? Do Whats up with the crossings? Are you supposed to walk in circles, I mean rectagles? The grid needs improvment.

Can someone help me? these buildings have no doors!

I know Mayor Green Cut the budget, but come on, how are we supposted to drive on this?

Haha, I love the comments at the end. I'm glad to see you're going for more detail, I can already see that it's turning out great! I can't wait for more, keep up the good work.

good stuff ! the roads in the pic with the yellow backgroud look good

perhaps there will be another riot over hazardous roads that lead to buildings that they cant get inside ?

Patrick, now that I have a few months off from school I am really gonna focus on building a good city with textures. However I have a question:

How do you get rid of the axes on google sketchup?

Thanks! Its defantly one of my favorites, and I dont think I based it off anything. Good God thats a first!

The Other Towers are all based off real buildings, (With the Exception of the Cybersoft HQ, which was based off of the World Financial Center in NYC, but dosnt look anything like it, thanks to Dac150 for suggesting the idea again )

Staunton is a place to see, stuff. Here is a rundown of some of the Cities Landmarks.

Sorry for the crap quality, it would have taken forever to render all these pics, so I threw in a rainy day and small pics.

Sponserd by the Staunton Sightseeing Commision

City Hall
- See the City at work! Gaze at the Glorious Arxhitecture of our City Hall! Walk up the Grand Entrace and pretend to be Rocky!

Staunton Island Ferry
- Take a FREE!! ferry ride and see many of Staunton's famous Landfills!

Callahan Bridge
- Climb to the top of the Lovely Bridge Towers and enjoy the observation decks with Lovely views of Callahan River, just please dont Lovely jump off!

Cannery Park & Cannery Mansion
- A romantic view of our Lovely Bay! Lots of Trees! A historical Musuem erected in the 1700's! Just dont visit the park at night!

Staunton Square
- Want to Shop? Stay in Luxury? Dine above it all? Gaze at rediculiously large billboards? Staunton Square is New Jersey's hot spot!

Garden State Building Observatory Deck
- Whats better than a view of the Glorious Garden State? If your lucky, You may even see someone getting fired next door at Galcorp Plaza!

"Lucky" Pier 13 Shops
- Wanna shop till you drop? Dine with a view? Try and find a parking spot? PIER 13 SHOPS is the place to be.

Ahh Goodnight Staunton.

Your bridge looks almost EXACTLY like the Ben Franklin Bridge in Philadelphia. Did you base it on it or use it as a point of reference or is it just a kooky coincidence?
