They really need to peel off that blue covering (or however they get rid of it). Makes it hard to really visualize the final product from the west side.

Apparently some folks are a bit confused with my statement.
The height of the Comcast Center's top floor was surpassed by the Comcast Innovation and Technology Center.

The roof is hidden behind a wall with mechanical floors (which does not really count).
The spire is going to be the visual icing on the cake!

That is proof that the roof of the new Comcast Innovation & Technology Center is taller than the roof (not including the top mechanical floors) of the Comcast Center.

What do you mean proof? We all knew this already. The roof of the Comcast Center is 975 feet tall. The roof of this new building is 911 feet unless you count the mechanical penthouse, then it is 996 feet tall.

He means this:

But no, that's not the official roof height, the Comcast Center's roof height is taller

Right. This is why I was confused. The top of the original Comcast is 975 ft, and the mechanical floors are considered to be -- and visually look to be -- part of this. The roof of CTT is 911. Shorter. The cooling towers being built now on CTT top out about 20 feet above the top of the original Comcast (as summers said). And then the spire brings it above 1100 feet. I'm not really sure why any of this is really relevant, though...

I'm sorry, I misunderstood your first post. I get what you're saying now.

The roof of the new building is topped out, but not the cooling towers or the spire. So still a little to go before it reaches it's final height.

That's exactly what I meant.

The roof height, not mechanical or architectural extras that will rise above the structural top.

Does the Liberty Bell Center remind anyone else of the CTC pedestal?
