I believe someone was just pointing out that there is added costs when you go above a certain height. Of course there are plenty brick facades that are 5,6 stories and taller.

The standard / Atlanta’s motto?

So much room for parking and such little room for living.

I tend to agree. But Robert AM Stern (the architect) does some really high quality stuff. Typically his projects use very nice materials, and they end up looking classical, relate well to existing building, and yet look a little bit contemporary. He did some awesome stuff at Uva, UNC, Villanova and the Terry College of Business expansion in Athens which looks super.

I didn't realize that Robert AM Stern was the architect of this. I'm also hoping that it turns out better than the rendering which leaves a LOT to be desired.

Counterpoint: It's a joint venture between Stern and Stevens & Wilkinson, the designer of the sad "Liberty" Plaza on the backside of the state capitol.

yeah that plaza is bland! I hope the courthouse turns out nicer. Looking at their website, I think their best work is the new GSU law building.
