Oh, I don't doubt that at all, atlantaguy. And I'm certainly not singling out the Fed or any other agency for criticism. It just seems ironic that we live in a world where public facilities are generally off limits to, well, the public.

Nope, it was Memorial Day; no one was around. Guess I was lucky, LOL.

A shot in the opposite direction:

Very refreshing to see Midtown from the west side! 12th & Midtown is an excellent addition.

You know what else would make an incredible picture? A panoramic view of the Buckhead skyline at night. As you drive north on I-85 it's really quite staggering. Maybe those new apartments where the Red Cross used to be would make a good vantage point. If I could walk a little better I'd try it myself.

Mount Wilkinson (Vinings Mountain), the highest point ITP. It's right off Paces Ferry in Cobb County.

I like seeing old / historic pics of Downtown Atlanta and I like this one. I love MARTA but I wish that Five Points Station would have been built without bisecting Broad Street and Alabama Street.

The Downtown viaducts is an interesting part of Atlanta's history. It's interesting to see how the layout has changed and changes - very interesting.

That is a crazy use of zoom!

To me, the building crown sort of looks like some kind of rusting abandoned soviet missile launch pad

i just hit your flickr page to see what you shoot with, expecting to see a dslr. i was pleasantly surprised to find that you used a lumix tz3, the same camera i have. (mine's in black) it's a great camera huh? sure i wish it had a fully manual mode, but i've done some cool things with some of the scene modes. (example)
