drove by the new stadium and adjacent district tonight... love that the stadium is up on a hill; the views from the top seats are going to be pretty fucking sweet.

it's going to be a good thing overall once its complete. the whole galleria area feels revitalized in a way, and i definitely see some kind of rail connection to atlanta in the future.

Yes! I would like to hear that. I am pretty sure about that. They will build more station. Hopefully they will start build more rail.

Been watching the live cam at night and the light shows they're doing testing the ribbons & scoreboard are looking amazing. The place really lights up. They were also testing the LED light standards all around the stadium last week and those things are instantaneous on/off and adjustable levels. Will be nice when you don't need the full lights on an overcast late afternoon but need SOME light.

Here's an updated image of the completed stadium from the same angle.

And a second image showing an even more dramatic angle/skyline view:

Is that second photo shopped? Maybe the tilt just makes that much of a difference of what's in the background.

Looks like it is just a forced perspective shot.

I was just thinking that the view from Paces Ferry and 285 is more like the second photo. The city looks HUGE and appears much closer than it does in the first photo above. I think its just a matter of perspective.
