I know most everyone laughed when NCR announced this would be an iconic tower, but with the way it's shaping up and its high visibility from the Connector, particularly from the south, it just may be.

Speaking of, next time anyone is at GT or tech square, we should snap a pic from the 5th street bridge. Their goal was to woo Tech grads. I wonder how the tower looks from their perspective. I should be over there Saturday and will grab a photo if nobody else has already.

It's certainly more exciting than most of the condos going up!

I actually really like this project, but I don't see it being anything close to an "icon." Once CODA and the Standard are built (along with the topped-out Modera), this project will just blend in. It's only once you get up close and see the finishes that people will get an idea of what sets this tower apart. But again, it's a very high quality tower and the perfect location for NCR.

I think the Modera and NCR are both among the best projects in Midtown recently. I just wish Modera was overlooking Spring and West Peachtree instead of Williams st and the connector.

Amazing. There was an article in 2014 that seven towers were coming to the Tech Square area and it seemed almost a little unrealistic at the time. Today, all of those towers are either completed or under construction.

True but it may not be such a bad thing to not have sooo much construction going on all at the same time once some of these projects deliver over the next year. We do have Colony Square and Opus construction to look forward to, both of which will have a big impact on Midtown.

The benefits of an ever-evolving city far outweigh years of stagnation though. I hope we see more projects go around Arts Center, North Ave, Buckhead, Downtown, and the EST. I really want Atlanta to expand its urban footprint in a fashion that makes it more walkable between neighborhoods. We're getting close to stitching up our disjointedness. Plus, more housing and jobs will be a boon to all residents.

Seems like when one crane goes down, another comes up, though. Buckhead's tallest U/C building in a while, Icon, will probably have one soon, as will The Charles. The new project on 13th is underway. Of course Opus will be soon, too. Doesn't seem like the boom train is slowing all that much.
