It's interesting how they built the wrap-around for the parking deck before the deck itself. I don't remember seeing that before, but it sure looks a lot nicer going up than a 5 story pre-cast deck sitting in the middle of an empty lot

I hadn't thought about that but you're right. Usually the hulking precast deck will appear first followed by the residential.

Like Yoo, Azure is also topped out

The view from the pool deck. The pool will have a clear plexiglass end on this side.

Pre-leasing has begun at Azure. I was skeptical but I like the way this has turned out.

The future phase would be another, smaller building that fronts 10th, but I think the corner lot there isn't a part of the project, so it would take another development on that corner to cover up that wall.

The blank wall is solid because it is at the property line, therefore must not have openings that could cause a fire to spread. However, "windows" will be part of this wall, using spandrel (not transparent, but appearing to be) glass and the wall will appear as masonry when the building is finished.

Thought you all would enjoy a progress shot of the 23rd floor Pool Deck. The pool will have a clear end facing Piedmont Park. The level below the pool is also an open air terrace with tenant amenities like grilling station, seating areas, etc.

One of the sides of the terrace below the pool, showing the South corner "private" party area . This terrace level is connected to the pool level by two open staircases on either side of the pool plexiglass side (facing the Park). As on the Pool Level, the sides are 5'-0" high all glass railing.

Thank both of you for the positive comments! The Project has been a very exciting one for our small company. A lot goes into the development of a building of this size, and there are a lot of things that are dear to our hearts as architects and as people that fall by the wayside due to cost considerations, etc. Sometimes we know exactly how things could be better, and we have tried hard to do it that way, only to run into the reality of budgets... it is very refreshing that in this forum all of you seem to focus on admiring rather than tearing down. We are always open to suggestions and criticism, but we put a lot of ourselves into the process of creating the design and watching over construction, and a reading a good word every once in a while feels fantastic! Thank you all, very much.
