Good news. There should be at least a couple of them for this one.

This is such a bizarre (last pic) rendering.

The house is really there. I imagine its days are numbered though.

that site behind it (towards Peachtree) is begging to be developed. SOM designed a concept for a tower there years ago but I haven't heard anything about it in long time.

I would not be surprised if Dewberry owns that lot. Would explain why it is the way it is.

Now that you mention it I think I remember something about Dewberry buying that lot. But there was a proposal for that site during the condo boom by another developer as mentioned by SwimAtl. It was going to be condo/hotel and rumored to be an Intercontinental. I don't remember seeing a rendering.

If Dewnothing owns the lot, it will look the same in 2031.

this is all I could find -

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill will work with Robbins and others to create 1400 Peachtree’s initial concept. Whether the design calls for one tower or two remains up for discussion, Robbins said, but developers hope 1400 Peachtree adds another diamond to a Midtown skyline that already boasts several jewels.

I do remember seeing an early rendering - it was very contemporary with a twisting 'grid like' canopy on the top - probably around 800 feet. Would have redefined the midtown skyline. And I think Dewberry does own the property now!
