Renowned Seattle Architect David Miller is coming to Portland to talk about his firm’s celebrated work. That firm, Miller/Hull, is generally considered to be one of the best design shops in the region, and Miller will deliver the lecture “Objects/Fields: Recent Architecture of Miller/Hull,” next Tuesday, May 8, at 7 pm at the Portland Art Museum. It's the second of a two-part series, the first of which will be delivered at the University of Oregon in Eugene on the previous night.

Miller/Hull touts a wide-ranging regional portfolio from the Kitsap County Administration in Building in Port Orchard, Wash., to the Water Pollution Control Laboratory in Portland, and this sweet pad right on Lake Washington where no doubt lives one of King County's 68,000 millionaires.

But you don't need to be loaded to enjoy the show: The lecture doesn't cost anything and a dessert reception will follow. It takes place at the Fields Ballroom in the Marks Building at 1119 SW Park Ave.

Reply, interesting that James Cutler is speaking the very same evening at the Convention Center, there's a $10 cover charge for that.
