I deleted the previous random beer fest photo that was here from my PB account and replacing with Fall color updates from the Boise River, downtown between Julia Davis Park and Boise State.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

I wish I could have named Salt Lake City. What a lost opportunity. With all the weird names Mormons have come up with, there are so many that could've been great. Or Native American names unique to the region.

Eh, we would probably end up with something dumb like "Jebediah" or "Bradley".

Just be happy they didn't name the city "Zion" Salt Lake makes sense since we are next to a big "salt lake"

Salt Lake City is a unique name... it's not too obvious.

Look at our other Utah city names. Ick.

I actually like every single one of those better than Salt Lake City. Especially Ogden and Bountiful. I'm glad you guys disagree with me though. I must be an outlier. It's just could you imagine if Seattle would have been named "Puget Sound City?" Or Chicago "Lake Michigan City?" That would have been lame and that's the way I look at the name Salt Lake City. A lost opportunity.

Utah is #1 in the US when it comes to people with porn subscriptions per capita. The reasons as to why seem obvious, so I won't mention them. This is interesting. probably in the "comedy" category of porn sites.

So I just realized that the mountain behind the English lady in the PooPourri commercials is Mt. Timpanogos.

You're referencing one study in 2009 which put Utah at the top, and made a ranking by zip code (the zip code in Utah with the second highest porn subscription rate happened to be 84112, the University of Utah). The truth is current data is very accessible and shows that Utah has quite a low rate of searches for porn. Pornhub even released statistics of where their viewers were coming from, by state. And compared red and blue states to each other. Our neighbors, Nevada and Colorado, made very impressive rankings. That data is found here (this link is free of explicit material):

http://www.pornhub.com/insights/red-...lue-us-states/

Also, Google trends comes in handy when looking up statistics for specific searches and makes it very easy to see which states search for what.

Regarding the Mormon porn, it's not comedy porn at all. Maybe for some people, but I think it's more of a fetish type thing. For instance, some people find Mormon underwear arousing, for some reason.
