That last daytime shot by Caltrane really shows the scale of this building's footprint...

The scale of the tower's footprint to be more accurate.

This tower is easily the biggest tower built in Toronto since the 1990's.

i still stand by my opinion that for the casual observer, this will appear as an office building.

Will this increase the actual height though or are they just squeezing the extra floors in ?

I doubt they would squeeze floors in. I think there are rules to making that major of a change after the unit sells, as the units value would decrease due to shorter ceilings. (and the purchasers would want some form of compensation for less home value than they originally purchased)

These floors will not be squeezed into the existing height of the building.

78 Floors, and between 275 and 280 meters.

3 metres per floor, times 3 floors = 9 extra metres, plus the original 264 metres = 273 metres, still less than 900 ft. Just a guess of course...

Squeezing floors in happens all the time. The developers leave a ton of leeway in the purchase agreements. That doesn't negate a redesigned mechanical penthouse for the extra floors.

I'd be more concerned over elevators and bulkhead placements than a couple inches off the ceilings. I've seen buildings increase from 300 units with three elevators to 370 units with the same three elevators. I've also bulkhead run straight through the middle of livingrooms with six and a half foot clearances. Makes one question the meaning of nine foot ceilings.
