Is there not already a thread for this development?
Plus the address is 500 James Street NORTH not south.

There's no other thread, it's always been posted about in the Downtown Update thread.

Sorry about the north/south typo, thanks to whoever fixed it.

Yes! It is a partnership between affordable housing provider/builder Indwell & the Hughson Street Baptist Church. I think they are building to passive house standards too!

Great! Will help ease some of the pressures in finding housing for those who need it the most.

A couple months from completion now

Heres a sense of the kind of insulation process that makes for a passive house building

Hughson St Baptist will gather weekly in the first passive house church building in Canada

it doesn't look like thats an open, public access alleyway. you can see that they're framing a door way at the end of it.

Took some pics on a run, slow progress, but brick sheets have been placed at the front, and more insulation added. Plus the vibe from James Street:

Looking really nice already. Great to see Indwell keeping up their good work and building beautiful structures at the same time!

Getting closer to completion. Looks great with the mature trees adjacent. Providing shade already and livening up the streetscape.
