Hey, at least there is some thickness to the walls. So many buildings in WC and elsewhere are just flat flat flat planes - windows at the same plane as the wall material. This one willl at least have some shadow play with the recessed windows.

I don't think any amount of shadow play will prevent me from thinking that the developer completely forsaked, or is it forsooked? aesthetics for function. This thing is a monstrosity, worse than the other two a few blocks south. And battleship grey??? I guess that's an appropriate color for such a dreadful, dismal structure. But through all my unsolicited negativity, I have found one thing I like about it... I can't see it from my house. I'd rather look out my window at a giant billboard advertising an ointment for yeast infections and butt fungus...not really...they're both pretty equal imo.

I see what you're talking about the horizontal lines now. I'm almost positive that is not the finished facade. Those look like metal Z channels that the facade will be attached to. It seems like the facade will consist of the vertically oriented material you see cladding the garage, if you look at the renderings.

Give this one time, I think it'll turn out much nicer than you think.

You know I swore I would tone down my opinions and probably should have deleted the butt fungus reference, (I'm working on it) but I really struggle with minimalism after so much of the same to different degrees throughout the city limits. As you suggested, I will sit back and watch. Just so they know....I'll be watching

Inspire on 22nd takes too long to say, so I just call it irony.

Really, though, that facade makes it look like a pipe cutting factory in a sheet metal warehouse in the boonies.

Ok, that made me laugh I can imagine the clang, clang emanating from the factory. I also like Geckos Rules post about living inside it so you don't have to see how ugly it is. We have some clever people here

I'm starting to come around to it. I think it's the color that some don't like. It's the texture that I like the most. It has a sort of industrial look to it.

The design of West Campus buildings is definitely improving.
