here's that pic you're talking about but with modern buildings/ projects overlayed onto it. a bit amateurish but you get the idea:

if i missed a building or proposal, let me know.

Wow, downtown was the parking capital of the world back then. Im so glad I wasnt around to witness that. Thanks for those pics, did you do the overlaying of colors? If so, thats pretty awesome. What are the gray ones though? Are those just hypothetical developments that may occur in the future or something?

Downtown still has a long long ways to go before can even compare to Chicago or NYC but its on its way there. Maybe in a few decades when more people will be living and working downtown. Compared to the 70s through late 90's its a million times better. One can only hope that in another 1o years it will be a million times better than it is today.

well, seeing as houston didn't have a lot of construction downtown in the 90's, this building picks up the slack somewhat.

Definitely my favorite building downtown. I don't care what decade it supposedly represents, it's a beautiful building.

your favorite building downtown?!!!! How is that? Everyones entitled to their opinions but this tower is not even close to my favorite one downtown. Its nice that its extending the skyline but I think its an easily forgettable building to the common passerby.

Photos from today yo

The tower is basically done on the outside now except for some bricking and roof work. I am very impressed with this tower for sure. Its something totally different from all of the towers built in the last 40 years or so.
