Skies are like this about 6 months out of the year , during spring-winter time ..

we do have those odd days during the hight of summer when we get a thunder shower that clears things up for a day or two .... but in a country with so much sand around and high humidity , brown skies (more like yellow skies) are not unusual

This one really adds a taste of diversity to the skyline, something Dubai desperately needs more of. I’ve been a fan of this one since day one, and to see it nearing the end of its construction is sort of bittersweet; this was a fun one to see rise. Overall I’m quite satisfied with the finished product.

The views from those units of the Burj Dubai and Business Bay should be pretty spectacular.

Yes that's what I think as well. A lot of midrises would do a good job as well.

Anyway, the index at night

I love this tower. It's probably my favorite in Dubai. Even moreso than the Burj Khalifa.

Some news about the hard hit company behind this tower selling some assets so it can complete its projects.

Union Properties made a 15 per cent profit on the sales of two properties for Dh150 million as it plans to offload its “old” assets, the company’s Chairman told Emirates Business.

“We have made Dh150m on the sale of two assets to local investors, reporting a profit of 15 per cent. The price we got was higher than our evaluation despite a slowdown in the market,” Khalid bin Kalban said.

It will make an official announcement next week. Kalban said the company does not plan to sell its new assets, but was concentrating on disposing off its small assets. “There is a lot of demand for our old assets and we will put more for sale.” He said the sale proceeds will be used to fund ongoing projects, with focus on completing Limestone House and Index Tower in DIFC and MotorCity project.

Very cool looking building, but I don't know about it being my fav in Dubai. It would make the top 10 though.

Granted, I really have no idea until I go there, but who knows when the hell that will be.

I really love the design of the Index looks so massive on the long sides.

and yet it might tottaly trick you from the side if you are looking straight at the wall.

and its a rather classical design yes but i still love it. And i came to think that it shares much of the propotions whit the rockefeller centre in New York or the Ce building as it is also called

http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=203

i wonder if they will put an ice rink and a christmas tree by it to it certantly wouldent be the first U.S.A architecture reference (or copy) in Dubai

Wow, what delightfully shitty finishes on those interiors. My first apartment out of college was less sterile. And nicer.
