1/8/17, from Adler Planetarium. Peeking through a hole in the skyline. Also trying out a new camera.

In the picture in the article they have an updated fountain in that Illnois circle drive. I hope they do something with that thing, it was hideous a few years back. But they cant touch it without approval from Hugo Mann(aka Metroplois Investments) who owns not only NBC but all of city front plaza and the riverwalk from Gleacher to Columbus bridge. Hugo better sell that land to someone who wont build garbage or go with his original plan and build two art deco 700 ft'rs north and south of nbc.

This is weird. They're going to give the top 15 floors their own amenity level

On 39 floors, Optima Signature will have a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom units. The top 15 floors will be mostly two- and three-bedrooms, 159 of them with an additional amenity floor of their own.

Well of course... They can't go mingling with those 1-bedroom unit peasants on the lower floors.

Interesting I don't know that this has been reported before.

Wouldn't want to mix with the peasants either. Can't mix the dank with the schwag!

I wonder where that photo of the skyline was taken.

Perhaps from the Olympia Centre?

I have to repost this because AWESOME.

Even more awesome?? Imagine this photo with Vista and One Bennett Park, and even possibly One Grant Park way out in back.

As a parent, the motivation for a separate amenities level is a lot more obvious, but it is also something I've never seen before. In short, not so much for two bedrooms, but for certain with three bedrooms. These are families with loud, embarrassing and disruptive children. Life is so much better when we aren't so concerned about our little ones disrupting the well-mannered hard-working business professionals that typically reside in the one bedroom and studio units.

Anyone have a rough idea of how many more floors to go? The building is becoming quite noticeable in the skyline from the North West now.
