still too early, most likely they're filling a base for either caisons or another tower crane base, the latter most likely. Unfortunately at ground level you can't see a darn thing because of the blue mesh around the fence with B&G's name plastered on it every 10 ft or so.

Yeah, I was in Nashville about a month ago and I drove down to check out the MCC's progress...I tried to check out the Omni site, but other than through the entrance way on the south side I couldn't see a thing.

The first of three tower cranes is being erected today, the first being directly behind the CMHOF on the 5th Ave South side.

Thanks for pointing that out! I checked the MCC camera earlier this morning and I didn't even notice the tower crane rising.

Tower Crane #2, adjacent to 4th Ave South is on the way up, #1 is complete and ready for action against 5th Ave South. At this time I'm not sure when #3 will be added but it'll likely be a few weeks at minimum for the south side of the site.

Tower crane #3 is on its way up on the south side of the Omni site this morning, should be the last one.

I'm guessing this thing should be getting underway in the next week or so. Any news on when the foundation will be poured?

from what I can tell it appears they've been drilling caisons for the foundation because of underground water that has been found with various projects in that general area.

Also of note, upon closer examination of the site a 4th tower crane will rise on the southwest corner of the Omni site. I had to look long and hard at the web cam and found its base.

I've recommended this be moved over now that foundation work, specifically caissons, have been put into place and tower cranes are up and working.

Its gonna be fun watching this rise out of the ground. Now if only there could be more cranes up around certain areas of Midtown and the Gulch, I would really be happy.

My father is good friends with the guy that owns the company doing the MCC's green roof. In about 3 weeks I'll have a decent chance of getting to go onto the roof and tour the site and plans for the roof, not to mention hopefully get some amazing shots.

The hotel should break to street level this week. I'll try and get pics this week as the weather cooperates.

Remember when no updates from users are submitted, you can always follow progress by OxBlue's Music City Center webcam located atop The Pinnacle.

^Thanks for the update. That southeast corner is moving along pretty fast. I wanted to take photos of it a few weeks ago but the blue covering on the fences is too thick.
