Oooh, interesting. I vote west, but without knowing exactly what the criteria are... I think we'll see more development generally with addressed on King and Main Streets West than East. That's not to say anything about the International Village getting even cooler, though.

Went by on Friday night and it's not a crane on the King Street side, but rather one of those exterior elevator things. Even still, they're working away on it like beavers. It's kinda putting the rate of progress on the federal building condos to shame.

Does anyone know if phase 2 involves part of the original 2 buildings, or is phase 2 one of the brand new towers to be built?

Phase 1 is the original hotel, phase 2 is the annex. Phase 3 is one of the new towers.

Phase 1 is the original east half of the Connaught
Phase 2 is the west half of the Connaught and the 14-floor addition
Phase 3 is the 36-floor tower
Phase 4 & 5 are the 24 & 21-floors towers

Phase 4 & 5 are the 33fl and 24fl phases, unless they already lowered the tower heights.

Almost. Phase 1 is the west half and 14-floor addition (which they are presently selling; some of the penthouses that will look over King and John are ballin) and phase 2 is the original east half of the Connaught.

The heights were changed back in June 2013. They took out 12 floors of the 33 floor tower, but added the 14 floor addition to the back of the existing Connaught. The title of this thread was never updated.

That's what I thought and originally posted. I saw realcity's post saying the opposite, so I went back in the thread and looked through all of the news articles mentioning construction phases. Every article said something different so I just went with what realcity posted, oh well
