It's for that long empty lot next to the OCC and Rose Garden MAX stop... good news, this will be a very prominent site for a 250 footer!

Do you have the link Couv? I couldn't locate the project on Portland Online.

Good news for the Lloyd anyway.

^actually, this is the second announced building in the Lloyd. With Weston's (potentially) unlimited height condo tower and this office building, along with the possible OCC Hotel, and Ashforth's open blocks, the Lloyd could see rapid growth and become a destination in 3 to 5 years.

The potential has always been there for Lloyd Center. Hopefully these projects will actually happen.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know of any companies that were thinking of relocating their HQ? I only ask because Precision Castparts is currently renting out space on Macadam Ave. and it's poised to become Oregon's second largest company, and Macadam Ave. isn't exactly a prestigious place for a Fortune 500 company to be located (it hasn't been announced yet, but it will...).

I thought Nike was our only Fortune 500 company.

That's great! Who knew?

Speaking of large companies in cramped quarters on Macadam.... Ankrom Moisan is now over 300 employees, largest in Oregon and #41 in the world (as of last year).

Total Ankrom employees as of April 1:
302
What do you mean when you say, "that can't be total employees"?

i mean that Ankrom can't be the largest employer in Oregon with 302 employees when we have Nike, Intel, OHSU, etc.

Ah, I see what you mean. Yes, I meant largest architectural firm in Oregon, not THE largest firm in Oregon.

wow! Ankrom at over 300 people now huh? I wondered how long it would take for them to pass ZGF... when I was working there a couple years ago there were around 140-150, so they've been on a crazy hiring spree. That, and now they have their Seattle branch up here in Pioneer Square as well.

Hope this goes through for the Lloyd Dist!

So, can Portland keep P.C. or is it going to end up on Kruse Way? Seems like the Lloyd has available property, and maybe even a new tower!

AMAA is looking at anchoring a project in the Beam/Naito OTCT study area...

P.C. won't move to Kruse--it needs to be close to its industrial facilities.
