This film came from Catherine Campbell in Alaska, Armijo High School Class of 1949. Her father ran Campbell Printing in Suisun City for many years.(where the theatre is now). She found it in his processions and sent to longtime Fairfield resident and Armijo class of 1949 grad Art Engell when they had their 50th Class reunion in 1999. Art put it on a return reel and it along with a tape from fellow 1949 grad Pat Morita who was unable to attend and it played all night.--Nanciann Gregg, co-founder of the Armijo Alumni Association, Inc.

The Downtown Theatre, formerly the FCCA, is Solano County’s premier arts and entertainment center.
Currently the theatre is operated by the Downtown Theatre Foundation for the Arts,
a public non-profit organization formed specifically to keep the theatre doors open and affordable to the community patrons and performers alike.

Please dismiss the main title as I was going to post a different post on Long Beach Ca. The New title is Small Town Noir: Fairfield Ca part 1. Thank you.

Fire at Pepperbelly's Comedy Club.

"Fairfield's first movie theater, which opened in 1921, was at the location of Pepperbelly's. Refurbished in 1945 as the Solano Theater and in 1974, it changed its name to Fairfield Cinema 1. After the movie theater closed in the 1990s, it was closed until it reopening as a comedy club and has since been run by multiple operators."
