This sounds horrific. How long is it?! Hargrave is a bike route that is already too narrow – aesthetics aside, this just encourages drivers to speed up. It also seems extremely bizarre considering the intersection is going to be a woonerf with a raised street and no curbs.
Shocked the city would allow it, I don't see any benefit or reason for it. It's even worse if the city still hopes to use Hargrave as street market space one day, and reopen cityplace to the sidewalk.
Brutal.
