Bay & Market lot

I was walking downtown the other day past this lot beside the new federal building, and thought it'd make a great location for some sort of development. Its almost as if downtown drops off after you cross King, and becomes quite desolate looking. It'd be a prime spot for a midrise building with ground floor retail, second floor offices and residential units on top. Does anyone here have any info on who owns the lot? Its pretty massive and could host a fairly large building.

It is quite a large lot, similar in size to the one at King and Bay.

But I think something taller would work better - 25+ storeys.

Doesn't Vranich own that? Or maybe it is a different lot I'm thinking of.

^That rings a very vague bell.

Hey, if Hamilton lands that NHL team it so desperately wants - watch out! The properties adjacent to Copps will boom with life - cranes, hard hats the whole nine yards. ;-)
