I love that shot of Uptown. Visually, when you squint, the profile looks very Empire State Building-ish when you add Casa, the apartment on Charles West and Crystal Blu. They all act as setbacks that balance Uptown out. Notice how from that angle, CB acts like a right shoulder to the setback on the left side of Uptown and Casa and the Charles apartment mirror each other as well.

haha! lol

but nice observations traynor!!! And you are totally right!.. alot of it is probably cause Crystal/Uptown were designed/built SOOO close to eachother that the developers planned everything out

That shot of uptown IS insane! It looks freakin tall now from ground up! almost surreal!

THAT is an INSANE shot ^^^ the Ritz adds alot to it!
Its too bad the CN tower blows everything out of proportion though ... our skyline will always look different because of it (good and bad)...

Here's an insane shot of Uptown by pearpenguin over at UT:

insane shot of Uptown! It's hard to capture the whole building from angles but you are lucky with your view! Uptown looks classy in that shot especially with the greenery in front of it (as seen in the shot )

Uptown now rising over CIBC tower:

By Urbandreamer at UT:

I guess Uptown is now the 2nd (or 3rd) tallest skyscraper in Yorkville now! Uptown IS the centerpiece of this view until 1Bloor and Four Seasons rise... Uptown just looks pure awesome! What a huge difference one tower can make on the skyline (look at the huge gap left before)

I was over near Solaris earlier today and its looking great! When your south of the towers looking right at them, they look giant! (and slim)... I noticed that the current top floor of the south tower was a little different than the one's below.. i think we're near the top now and seeing a minor setback ..

forgot the camera.
