I was thinking Embassy Suites could go up on the existing parking lot at 381-385 17th Street.
That empty parking lot was sold on 05/08/2017 for $ 5,744,000.
But not sure if the 1.096 acre lot could hold a hotel.

I think the parking lot in front of Target is a much better place for a hotel, but Hines has already disclosed plans to build a 200K sqft office there

In the urban construction world, an acre is a lot of land. Below is a pic of the new Hampton Inn and Suites in Buckhead, being built on a parcel about the same size as the parcel in Atlantic Station.

I believe shows the final height and it looks to be well over 700 feet.

For some reason I can't see that 700 footer

Are you kidding? The building to the right of Opus Place is 820 feet and the building the left is 657 Feet. Honestly, based on the pic it looks like it is pushing close to 800 feet.

FWA doesn't normally meet in December, but we thought you wouldn't want to miss it when New City shares their plans for the GA Power Property. You will be wowed! The folks at New City will be unveiling their plans to the neighborhood before it goes to the City or the press! This session will be informational- we will not vote on the zoning change until January. This will be your opportunity to ask questions and share your feedback directly with the developers and we hope you'll join us
Alright alright alright! Maybe I'll have to swing by this meeting. Really interested to see the renderings and better understand the size of this project and its impact on the surrounding area. Very exciting.

If that rendering of Opus is a recent valid one, I'd guess its height is around 740 - that would make it the 5th tallest in the city! The pinnacle of Promenade is 691 feet. it looks about 45 - 50 feet taller. I'd love for it to be over 700 feet. I can't find anything online to confirm the height. anyone know?

It's probably at least 700 feet, the residential portion is 53 floors and it has a parking pedestal and a crown. That rendering looks accurate.

Midtown is getting a Bootsy Bellows club in the old Vanquish and Reign spot. It is their 3rd/4th spot after LA and Aspen. With the 3rd/4th also opening in Dallas too.

Counted the floors-- seems right-- must have very tall floor to floor heights for a residential tower--

The Firestone at 3369 Lenox Road was sold for redevelopment. Believe we had some proposals floating around a while ago for this location just north of Lenox Transit Station.

When has a developer rendering been realistic!? They are in sales mode and "taller" sells better (imo).

1) Boulevard is going to be an odd place in few years. That said, it is far better for a neighborhood to have a vast mix of income levels rather than being homogeneous. Unfortunately, O4W and a lot more intown Atlanta is about to see even more displacement.

2) Is 525 Parkway actually within the beltline overlay? Looks like it could be right outside.
