Altoria's rendering changed again. I think it is an improvement.

Recall that the render already changed as the tower's height was increased:

http://altoria.ca/en/project.php

Well, it has changed again.

http://tourviger.com/design-et-architecture/galerie

Same thing in the back. The first render is on the right, the second one (when the tower grew to 35 floors is on theleft)
http://altoria.ca/en/project.php

And now here is a new render of the back

Should be a stunner! I like how the office portion is going to match The Caisse de Dépot.

From the looks of the new pics from the tourviger.com website, this tower will not even reach the estimated 130m height. Looks closer to 120m to me.

The lot is zoned 120m if I remember correctly. But the city allows a certain flexibility on these issues. Anyway, we never had any confirmation for the 130m height. At 10 floors commercial + 25 residential, below 130m was to be expected.

This will really complement Square Victoria. It will be the finishing piece of a superb public space.

I don't know how many times I tried to exclude that POS grey building with the giant 'à louer' sign while photographing the square!

Incredible how the original version was so clumsy looking. The new one is very slick, very vertical, I like it. I'm still bitter they couldn't
Save that century old brick building at gauchetiere / beaver hall but it's a sacrifice worth making. Gibbroni is right, the square will be a true stunner, perhaps for the first time since the 1870's!

Nope, the parking lot in front you in the link below is where the Altitude project is.

This is where Altoria is, right on Square Victoria.

Zoom out to see where you are situated on the map.

I believe excavation is not considered proper 'construction' on SSP as nothing is actually being 'built'.

Give it a few more weeks. We should see a crane soon.

I am not sure how much blasting is left. I had no idea this area of Downtown sits above this much rock.

Point being it COULD take a bit more time before the start of foundation work. Hopefully they are close to the bottom elevation therefore foundation work can commence soon.

I have a little problem with this rendering : the two towers of Banque nationale and Aeon on the right have 128m. (according to ssp's diagram for Montréal). Therefore, this rendering should show the Altoria at about the same height right ?
