I really wish there were mountains as a backdrop to Toronto's skyline. Something similar to what you see in Vancouver would be fantastic.

Just looking at Concords signature towers made me want to hurl....yikes. At least the Well will be behind some of the Cityplace towers, (they are starting excavation on the site by the way.)

Great photo as always koops

I don't mind the new courthouse design, but I don't understand how such a small building costs $1 Billion??

Have to love those models Koops!

Here is a recent render of what the Kelowna skyline may look like in a decade. Not sure if all of these are firm proposals, it I know that many are.

I am still amazed at how little that City has been developed.

I like that other cities get posted here besides Toronto. Speaking of Toronto, here is 552 Church, recently reduced to 39 floors:

Well considering that the region did not break 50 000 until sometime after 1970 and the entire metro region is still just under 200 000 (150 000 urban) today, I'm not.

If anything the skyline will actually become quite respectable for a non capital urban area of only 200 000 or so if these projects do come to pass.

Kelowna has had some bad sprawl but over the last decade the downtown core has improved significantly and this trend looks to be accelerating. The waterfront and Bernard Ave in particular are quite nice urban settings.

The tallest proposal shown (131 meters) will complete the waterfront and be a rather nice pinnacle in the skyline.

Agreed. Kelowna will look pretty good for its size if all that materializes. Hope it keeps going in this direction.

5 of them are already UC, including Kelowna's 2 new tallest towers (One Water Street Towers at 92 and 116 metres) which will be immediately surpassed by the Westcorp Tower at 131 metres when it starts construction (hopefully this year).
