Well considering that the region did not break 50 000 until sometime after 1970 and the entire metro region is still just under 200 000 (150 000 urban) today, I'm not.
If anything the skyline will actually become quite respectable for a non capital urban area of only 200 000 or so if these projects do come to pass.
Kelowna has had some bad sprawl but over the last decade the downtown core has improved significantly and this trend looks to be accelerating. The waterfront and Bernard Ave in particular are quite nice urban settings.
The tallest proposal shown (131 meters) will complete the waterfront and be a rather nice pinnacle in the skyline.
