Imprint, 717 S. Clark

Makes its way into the skyline. Sure wish I knew what it'll look like when finished.

330 North Clark Hotel

One project that surprises me to have not gotten underway yet with at least demo by this point is the 330 North Clark hotel tower. Curious if anybody has heard any status updates with this one?

There's a lot of hotel product that has been delivered, and new supply in the pipeline, but this is one that seems to have such a prime location, and with its developers having a successful track record...I'd have figured it would be one to move ahead pretty aggressively this cycle. Perhaps we're getting close on this one?

There was a burst of soil testing a few months ago - just a frigid tent sale now.

I don't think they can move forward until the surface lot that is lower Carol is cleared of Valet parked cars.

Yeah, I went. No real complaints about the tower, mainly traffic and circulation concerns because Canal is a pinch point at Kinzie, but it'll be approved.

Am I the only one that thinks 800 Fulton should have it's own thread for its unique design? Or just a fulton market thread all by itself.

^So sick. It almost looks photo cropped but oh so real. Can we just keep this boom going for the next ten years.

167 Green

Gold accent pieces going in on the east side, and they look really good. Glass is also being delivered today. Looks like it might have a light green tint to it, but it was hard to tell all wrapped up on the truck

I had always assumed the color accents would be paint or flat panels like on Gems. The gold looks good though - kind of a satin finish, not super yellow but not really bronze either. If the glass has a green cast to it, I think it will be subtle—hard to tell with the additive effect of having half a dozen panels stacked next to each other on a truck.

From the building website

^Damn. She meets the ground in a very Hudson Yardsey way. I love the public "blow through" in the base. I never thought much of this tower, but it looks like it's going to be a winner. Highly visible from the Kennedy as well.

Of all the offensive parking garages out there, 401 N State is not of them. I like how this one looks. Go develop a real eye sore.

They also added a Gus's Fried Chicken in it.

I barely notice it and walk by it daily.
