The PadThai from Thai Express is pretty gosh darn good.

Weird that the store would be jam packed considering that Mobilicity has no coverage atm in Surrey

I asked at customer service about the new restaurant going in, and they wouldn't tell me. A security guard was there and he said that he'd been told, but he wasn't allowed to tell anyone...

I think what this area needs is good quality restaurants that bring people in from different areas to come and eat at them. Having some name recognition to build from would be a good start, I'm not sure if a random Asian restaurant is the best, but the major players don't usually have mall access anyways.

Earls in Lansdowne Mall is quite popular. With a Guildford location though, I don't think they would locate in the mall.

actually i think an asian restraunt will do great there especially with the T&T being right by it.

I agree it will probably do well locally, I just think the area needs to add more destination restaurants that bring people in from other areas.

it would be nice if that all you can sushi place, that was closed down for city hall, moves into that spot. It was pretty good food, and I think an allyou can eat sushi place would do well there, like sushi ya at metrotown

Anybody know where the red robins' from newton is relocating to?

sushi ya isn't even real jpnese, its vietnamese owners.

Not to mention the service is horrible and only some parts of the menu is decent.

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled with Sushi Ya in Metrotown. However, I adore Yokohama on Walley Drive, just south of 104 Ave. Nifty place, good food, decent prices.

True or not, you don't need Japanese owners to have real Japanese food. Most of the restaurants in Vancouver aren't Japanese owned.

I love it when people harp on a place being "authentically" Japanese and then order the dynamite rolls.

I do find the Japanese sushi places have the best quality, and the Korean sushi places have the best quantity -- past experience never stops me from trying somewhere new though
