Another cool list! Good to see Ottawa in there too!

Btw: Altoria (#20) is also in what SSP considers site prep, the building that used to be there is almost completely demolished.

I believe that on SSP, the Altoria is still in "site prep" as there is no exavation yet, no construction yet, simply some demolition.

Let's all hope and pray it doesn't. It looks just awful.

haha agreed! All of the designs for it have been terrible. But you have to admit, it is a pretty interesting building.

I would be shocked if Attika got built without getting a severe height reduction first.

Agreed. It's quite the difference between the two Edmonton proposals up there (Manulife II, #9 and Urbia, #10). Thankfully, Urbia likely won't happen, and Manulife II appears as though it likely will.

Of course Manulife will happen. It's being backed by the largest company in Canada. I've always imagined what kind of damage they could do in Toronto if they put their mind to it. A supertall at the bear minimum.

That would be insane! When will Toronto get a supertall? it makes me sad that Canada doesn't have one

Look at us! We're celebrating the novelty of the Calgary Tower by creating a "gateway" (ie: cheap out by flaking it with twin towers right out of the suburbs)

I wish they would demo the Calgary tower and rebuild it with state-of-the-art hypermodernist architecture but keep the form similar to the current design. Rebuild it with a grand plaza/complex around it

Attika looks like a squished version of Minto Metropole. Ugly, but nice to see such a tall Ottawa proposal.

Urbia is a different/interesting concept but honestly looks like an awful Dubai experiment.

Surrey is going to look spectacular in a few years!

What's the point of having a fake tallest buildings in the country thread, when most of these buildings aren't even close to it. The proposal in Dartmouth is more exciting than half the buildings on this list, but noo it's not tall enough for this arbitrary cut-off...
