In 1928 the church was almost destroyed by fire, but it was quickly rebuilt keeping the same design with the help of the Methodist Massey family, of Massey-Ferguson fame. It appears they rebuilt parts of it lager with most of the changes on it's back side.

Here is the reconstruction after the fire.

No problem. I was actually wondering why it looked so similar but not the same. If you didn't ask I probably wouldn't have looked into it.

Does anybody know what that large arena like structure on the right side of the screen? It looks to be on the south west corner of Dundas and Jarvis.

That's Mutual Street Arena: http://heritagetoronto.org/arena-gardens/

Demolished in 1989 for the condos on the left here: https://goo.gl/maps/RNeWFgvgwg62

Dog Fart doing exactly as he said and destroying any plans to combat Climate Change. It’s funny he already aligned himself with Jason Kenney and he’s not even Premier. So begins the Legion of Doom.

I’m excited to see him waste tons of taxpayer money and lose in court.

The parties representing so called fiscal conservatives sure do love to waste money on pointless court battles.

It's mundane (since I'm used to seeing this as an Ontarian). Sure, its fugly from the setback and snootiness, but it's so generic I could care less for it.

Yes it is very generic but I ask because for some reason I like it but I'm not sure why. What I dislike the most is the sidewalk looking landscape job, lol.

It's objectively ugly IMO, but in the context of suburban homes not really that bad. Single garage snout nose houses are much preferable to the double garage version from a purely aesthetic perspective (discounting utility). Better landscaping and interlock instead of asphalt for the driveway would help.

I think the sidewalk landscaping job is to park 2 cars where 1 was parked originally.

Is this in Cobourg?

It’s only a single wide garage and has brick instead of stucco or vinyl siding. Points on both counts.

Ugly - it looks like they're living in a garage.

Exactly. It’s only ever a waste of taxpayer money when it’s the other guys or something they ideologically disagree with. It has nothing to do with respecting taxpayer money. It’s just more lazy anti tax rhetoric that ignores all facts and will likely end up costing the people of Ontario more in the end than if they had just stuck with the original cap and trade system. That’s what voters wanted though I guess.

Really it’s no different than when Harper increased the size of the privy council 100 fold so he could create a virtual propaganda wing of the government.
