The "48" is more than likely a misprint. It should read 46. The numbers were taken from the approved site plan (which received its approval several months ago). Also remember, there is no floor 13 in any of these towers.

I kept thinking - why doesn't this link work for me and what does this have to do with Nashville?

I think this is what you may have meant to post.

Developer, neighbors working on traffic study compromise ahead of Rainey Street hearing

I was in the middle of copy/pasting/posting some other stuff, and didn't preview my post like I usually do.

The City Council postponed the Town Lake Villas vote again - to next Thursday at the request of the neighborhood.

Maybe they just learned as I did that an office building or hotel are not bound by the restrictions in place for residential on this property an need more time to come up with an argument against those two options since the developer says he wants to build something there. I don't think the coa is going to ammend the residential restrictions, and I don't think we need another hotel there, so I hope a nice sleek office building gets the nod.

Huh. Somehow I thought this site was going to be one of those micro unit stacks, but maybe not.

Someone please explain to me what's happening with the CVC. Not sure I understand the notation on the elevation. Is the CVC the reason for the angle of the building?

Yeah look at the line above the building, it is labeled as the CVC.

Cross posting from the 70 Rainey thread. These are some of the local investment opportunities offered up at the Texas-Chinese summit:

70 Rainey - $140 million
LD&C (48 East) - $30 Million
Ritz Carlton Lake Travis resort on 367 acres - $70 million
Backyard mixed use (This was proposed years ago IIRC) - $250 million
Snowland (indoor skiing) - $28 million
Music Lane in SoCo - $18 million
World Class Capitol (99 Trinity) - $10 million
COTA - $150 million

Another CVC determination was filed today. Sutton company is the applicant and it's for 600 Guadalupe (Block 73, lots 1 & 2) which is the suburban style Extended Stay hotel.

Permit:

A sewer plan for a student housing project at West 22nd & Nueces. I thought this might be Skyloft, but the map indicates this is at the northwest corner of that intersection, while Skyloft is at the souhwest intersection. Different project?

I'm starting to think there might be two projects going up there. There have been at least three site plans filed for the block, and the underground parking levels have varied between 3 and 5 levels. I was wondering why there were multiple site plans for what I thought was just Skyloft. Plus the floor 1 drawing in your link says it's for "Wesley House".

Edit: I just realized that Wesley house is the name of the existing building.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on there. They also had another listing for Skyloft on the city's FTP site for the storm sewer plans. I did notice they seem to have gotten the location wrong on their site map compared to what Google Maps says.

Interesting...

But, it's Sutton. Don't expect anything dramatic to happen.

LOL. I actually thought about not even bothering to post that when I saw Sutton's name on the permit.
