C'est vrai qu'avec une certification LEED ça va prendre du temps pour détruire ce vulgaire machin. Et pauvre bumbaru, comme un poignard qui tourne lentement dans son coeur.

I'm probably the only one who didn't hate the building that is getting demolished. Windsor Station, the old CP Accounting Building and the Bell Centre were all roughly the same height. Now I fear that this block is going to look a little weird with a tower poking up in the middle.

I would have much preferred for this project to have been built on an empty lot (across the street?), and on a corner, as it deserves more prominence.

^Meh. I don't see this building as being that prominent. Rather I see it as a part of a future greater ensemble for the area. I'd wager that once CF develops the adjacent lands this relatively short and stubby tower will find its face not as a beacon for the area, but again, as a piece of a larger puzzle.

And as for the CP accounting building, it didn't deserve it its place next to the station (probably the city's nicest building). The structure appears to not only have been built to house accountants, but indeed appears to have been built by accountants! Yikes.

LOL, as an soon-to-be accountant, I would love the opportunity to call some of the shots on the design of a new building.

Yeah, I'm in my last semester at JMSB, and I will write the CMA entrance exam in June.

Well they could have restricted the footprint and built higher. There are two halves to the tower, these two could have been on top of one another.

In Les Affaires, it is said that Cadillac Fairview wants to build a second tower here.

^It's too bad they probably won't keep that century old tenement. I've explored it last summer and it's got solid bones. It would look great as a podium for the new tower, though that's wishful thinking.

Do we know anything about this second tower?

Cadillac Fairview already owns the building, they are looking for tenants and they refused to talk to Les Affaires about this project. That is about all.

Thanks, at least we know that means it's another office development.

That means we shouldn't wait for this one anytime soon...
